3. Thomas Partey (Average rating – 6.87)
Partey, like Saka, endured a pretty rough end to the season, but that shouldn’t take away from just how great he was during the first half of the campaign before the World Cup.
The midfielder has long been considered the most significant cog in Mikel’s machine given the function he performs. Although, the arrival of Zinchenko took plenty of the burden off of him in the build-up phase. While Jorginho impressed down the stretch, Arsenal are undoubtedly at their best when Partey is dominating in all phases.
Rarely have Arsenal lost when the Ghanaian’s excelled.
However, his troubled end to the campaign combined with perpetual injury issues since joining the club means his future in north London beyond the summer is far from guaranteed. With Arsenal looking to freshen up in midfield, Partey could be sacrificed for young blood.
