3. Martin Odegaard
The Norwegian had a fantastic game yesterday. A goal, an assist, a penalty won, and the author of the cross that Jesus headed against the woodwork, he was instrumental in all four goals.
He also had a great captain’s performance, stepping up with confidence for the penalty and handing the second to Havertz. He pushed the German to the fans after to celebrate, attempting to boost Havertz’s confidence.
He was far better than the previous weekend, and so were Arsenal as a consequence. It’s almost a worry for me that if Odegaard doesn’t perform, Arsenal look like a completely different team. It wasn’t an issue against Bournemouth though: the captain blew the opposition away.

2. Oleksandr Zinchenko

In games like this, Zinchenko is honestly a cheat code. His composure and technical quality are incredible in the build-up and the extra midfielder was impossible for Bournemouth to deal with, who were outnumbered in the midfield.

The Ukrainian plays very positively, always looking forward. He was able to carry the ball out of the Arsenal half on a few occasions, as well as finding intelligent passes that get the boys ticking. In fact, he played the most passes of any player on the pitch.

He also put in a very good defensive performance, winning six out of nine ground duels. Zinchenko has looked more resolute defensively as of late and it’s a big boost to the defence.

4. Bukayo Saka

Another game, another goal contribution for Bukayo Saka. Our starboy is developing a ruthless trait of contributing to goals every single game, no matter what. Saka could have had a hat-trick had he taken the two penalties but he’ll be more than happy with the one goal.

His consistency is off the charts and his intelligence on the pitch is so clear to see. He is the one player on the team that I would not trade for anyone else in the world and it’s a massive that he came from Hale End.

It is now five goals and four assists in nine games for the winger in what has been supposedly a slow start to the season. Just imagine what he’s going to do when he starts playing ‘well’!

It is also worth mentioning that this was Kai Havertz’s best performance in an Arsenal shirt. With every game, Arteta’s plan regarding the German seems more clear to me and hopefully, the goal will give Kai the confidence he needs. Whatever is said online, he clearly has the support of his teammates and match-going fans. I’m more and more convinced he will become a huge asset to this Arsenal team.
