Harry Kane made several runs that were simply not covered by Luiz, whose complacency often gets the better of him. That said, he did not have much chance playing alongside his chumps.
Kolasinac really is a terrible footballer. Perhaps the most damning aspect of his assist for Son Heung-min was not the pass itself, however disastrous that was, but rather the decision. Xhaka was free for an easy inside pass to evade the Spurs press. Kolasinac panicked, dribbled backwards, and then rushed his pass. It was an epitome of his performance. Loose defending, terrible decision-making, and utter panic throughout. Dreadful.
Arsenal did what Arsenal do in Sunday’s North London Derby, relinquishing control of the match with ludicrous defensive errors. After Alexandre Lacazette lashed home a brilliant opener, Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi combined to hand Jose Mourinho precisely what he wanted: mistakes. The Gunners deserved nothing more than the defeat they were handed and it leaves Mikel Arteta staring at a rather bleak picture.</p>
