Arsenal’s top 10 goals of the 2022/23 season – ranked
Arsenal scored a club record 88 (eighty-eight!!!!!) goals this season. An incredible feat that makes it very hard for this poor Pain in the Arsenal writer to comb through to find the ten best goals of the campaign.
This team scored some extraordinary goals, in some memorable moments, in some incredible matches this season.

Let’s take a walk down (short-term) memory lane at some of the best goals in Arsenal’s 22/23 season.
#10: Xhaka vs Wolves (H)
Xhaka scored a pair of goals in this match, so I’m going to cheat and not pick either of them in particular. Both goals were incredibly set up, with Arsenal’s attack having fun on a sunny afternoon in north London.
The special thing about these goals was that they happened in what was likely Xhaka’s last match for the club, and they will serve as a great way to cap off a while turbulent, at times, amazing Arsenal career for Granit Xhaka.
#9: Martinelli vs. Brighton (A)
The pass. The run. The finish. This goal to put the match to bed away at Brighton was genuinely sublime.

<h2>#8: Saliba vs Bournemouth (A)</h2>
<p>DA NA NA NA NA SALIBA! Zinchenko’s reaction says it all in response to this wondergoal by William Saliba that led many Arsenal fans to say: “He can do that????”. <p>PS: remember the pink kit? This match was in August, and it was the last time we saw it, unfortunately.</p>
<h2><em><strong>#7: Ødegaard vs Tottenham (A)</strong></em></h2>
<p>There had to be a North London Derby goal here, and Martin Ødegaard’s strike to extend Arsenal’s lead to 2-0 in the away edition was a beauty. It’s a goal we’ve seen a few times from the captain with a powered shot outside the box, finding the bottom corner.</p>
<p>This goal powered Arsenal to their first away North London Derby win in the Premier League since 2014.</p>

<h2>#6: Jorginho vs Aston Villa (A)</h2>
<p>This goal was technically an Emi Martinez own goal, but Jorginho made it happen to win the match. This wouldn’t end up as the last goal in the match as Martinelli scored a fourth, but this was the winner for the Gunners in dramatic fashion.</p>
<p>SPOILER: This is not the last, last-minute winner on this list.</p>
<h2><em><strong>#5: Martinelli vs. Liverpool (H)</strong></em></h2>
<p>Arsenal started this match with a bang, with Martinelli hitting the back of the net within the first few minutes of Arsenal’s massive win against Liverpool.</p>

<h2>#4: Saka vs Liverpool (H)</h2>
<p>Martinelli’s was the first goal of this match, and this would be the last goal of the match.</p>
<p>Saka stepped up the spot and won the match for the Gunners, truly cementing himself as the superstar of this team. This penalty is incredible, but it’s even better with Peter Drury on the call.</p>
<h2><em><strong>#3: Saka vs Manchester United (H)</strong></em></h2>
<p>Another Saka goal that is even better if you’re a lucky American that gets to watch it with Drury on the call. Saka’s hit from deep gave Arsenal their second lead in this match and is one of his most impressive goals in a list of awe-inspiring goals this season.</p>
