Partey trialled at right back?
We saw it against Nottingham Forest and now again against Wolves. Thomas Partey at right back is something that not many Arsenal fans are used to.
He has played there for Atletico Madrid, but he has been a midfield beast since arriving in north London.
Is this recent shift into the right-back spot a precursor to what to expect next season? Surely not, but Mikel Arteta has a plan, and it remains to be seen if Partey will be a midfielder or a defender.

Bukayo Saka joined in to make it 3-0 inside half an hour before second-half goals to Gabriel Jesus and defender Jakub Kiwior rounded out the win.

The game provided plenty of talking points; here they are.

1. Granit Xhaka gets the perfect send-off

The Swiss international has come a long way since that infamous day against Crystal Palace, hasn’t he? In what looks to be his final game as a Gunner, Xhaka ended it on the highest of highs.

Two first-half goals gave the perfect end to his time as an Arsenal player, and there wasn’t one fan who wasn’t standing and applauding his efforts.

He was a true warrior for the club through some turbulent times, but he stuck true, and while he wasn’t rewarded with a Premier League medal, a double and a rousing reception for him will have to do.

3. Gunners end the season in style

While this was not the end to the season many wanted nor expected just a few weeks ago, Arsenal made sure to end the season on a high note. A fitting farewell for Granit Xhaka and a dominating performance against Wolves.

Second spot in the league table is nothing to turn your nose up at, and the Gunners could have mailed it in on a sunny London afternoon, but they put their foot on the gas and never let up.
