Arsenal’s Predicted Starters To Face Hull City
On Tuesday, Arsenal will face Hull City in an FA Cup replay match, after drawing the reverse fixture in February. Will Arsenal advance to the next round?
It is game that probably shouldn’t even be happening, but nonetheless, I am still sitting here writing about it. Arsenal are set to take on Hull City for the second time this season in the FA Cup after failing to defeat the Tigers in the reverse fixture at the Emirates in February.
The Gunners performance in that game was not up to par by any standards, and they now must play their third game in just eight days. For Arsenal, the games are coming thick and fast, and thus, Arsene Wenger will almost certainly look to rotate his squad.
One would have to think that the draw at Tottenham took a lot out of an already tired looking squad. With Coquelin’s unnecessary red card at White Hart Lane on Sunday, Arsenal were forced to play with ten men for the majority of the second half.
Evidently, the players will have exhausted themselves due to having to cover for their banished teammates. As a result, Wenger will look to give some of his senior players a rest. Whatever team Wenger decides to field, Arsenal will be looking to record their third win over Hull City in as many years in the FA Cup, to keep the possibility of a three-peat going in this competition.
Here is how Arsenal is expected to line up at the KC Stadium tomorrow.
David Ospina

After his amazing performance at Tottenham on Sunday, I must say a lot of Arsenal fans (including myself) owe Ospina an apology. I thought he would have a bad day between the posts after such a long layoff, but he proved us all wrong with a solid performance. He needs to put in a similar shift on Tuesday for Arsenal to come away with a win.
The perfect game for Calum Chambers to prove his worth. Chambers did really well when he came on at halftime for Koscielny against Leicester, so I’m hoping he can do the same, this time getting the start.Calum Chambers

Gabriel is striking up quite the partnership with Per Mertesacker, which is great for Arsenal given the fact that Laurent Koscielny will be short of fitness for this game. The Gabriel-Mertesacker partnership will most likely continue for this game.Gabriel Paulista
5, Brazil
Again, the understanding between Per Mertesacker and Gabriel will be key in this game. It can only be a good thing for Arsenal if this partnership continues to flourish.Per Mertesacker
4, Germany
Sure, Nacho Monreal is due a rest, and by default, Kieran Gibbs should start. But Gibbs impressed me so much while standing in for the Spaniard against Tottenham, that I would give him the start anyway. Kieran Gibbs

Evidently, Francis Coquelin is suspended for this game after his costly red card at the weekend, so Mathieu Flamini is likely to be called up into the squad in his compatriot’s place.Mathieu Flamini

Mohamed Elneny was quite impressive in his full Premier League debut. He seemed to cover every inch of the pitch and was quite dominant in that defensive midfield role alongside Coquelin. Still, we haven’t seen much of him and he needs more playing time, which he looks set to get against Hull tomorrowMohamed Elneny

I didn’t really understand why Joel Campbell was dropped from the squad after his stellar performance against Swansea, but since I’m not a tactical genius, I won’t attempt to challenge Arsene Wenger’s line of thinking there. Campbell has become somewhat of a reliable impact player for Arsenal. I don’t have any doubts that he will have a significant impact in tomorrow’s game.Joel Campbell

Theo Walcott needs to get his confidence back, and I think the FA Cup is the competition that will help him get it back. He isn’t a regular in Wenger’s Premier League Starting XI, so why not show Wenger his worth by bringing Arsenal one step closer to a potential three-peat?Theo Walcott

Like Elneny, we haven’t seen much of Alex Iwobi this season. Most of his appearances have been off the bench, but the FA Cup is made for a player like him to show what he is capable of.Alex Iwobi

Danny Welbeck has cooled off a bit since his heroics against Leicester, but I doubt he will enter a Walcott-esque slump from here on out. He still has the passion that Arsenal need, but he needs to translate that passion into the goals that Arsenal so desperately lack at that the moment.Danny Welbeck
